Drainage systems are designed to carry waste and surface water away from your building and into the main council line. It is therefore very important to keep the pipes clean, clear and free flowing.
Pipelines can easily be affected by litter, silt, limescale, roots and anything else that ends up down the drain. Unfortunately, you cannot see what is on the inside of your pipes and may be blissfully unaware that there are problems on the horizon.
If the main pipelines do become blocked this will affect other areas of your drainage system and you may experience this as flooding, unexplained leaks or blockages in your toilets and sinks.
If you do experience a blockage, Clear Drains can attend site as an emergency call out. We will use our specialist equipment to clear the blockage and get your business or home up and running again. Our expert engineers will also be able to identify the reason for the problem and where necessary jet further down the line in order to tackle the issue at source to prevent any recurrence.
Blockages are highly inconvenient but very easily preventable by implementing a cost effective pre-planned maintenance schedule. With a regular jetting service Clear Drains engineers will use high pressure jetting machines to safely blast down your lines and ensure that they are made clean, clear and free-flowing. The service will be undertaken with minimal disruption to your business, and at a time that is both pre-planned and convenient to you.

Clear Drains offers No-Dig technology for pipe relining, this is the most convenient and cost effective way of repairing damaged pipes/drains without the hassle of a complete dig up. We can line pipes from 100mm up to 900mm in size. All work is carried out from the manhole above ground.
Pipe relining is a way of repairing a pipe by inserting and inflating an epoxy or polyester based resin lining. Once the liner is in place it prevents leaking joints, ingressing tree roots and even new connections can be attached. Connecting lateral joints are opened up with the use of specialised cutters.
This technology is cost effective as it saves businesses from valuable downtime and extensive excavation. The newly relined pipe has over 50 years expectancy, it’s as good as replacing with a new pipe. Our teams can identify problems and put in place the correct course of action required.
If there’s no other way, excavation is a must
Sometimes, the need for excavation is the only way forward to repair drainage problems. We will provide a full service from quote through to completion taking into account all environmental factors and incorporating SuD’S – Sustainable Drainage Systems.
We ensure our teams are fully briefed before proceeding and project management and H&S are paramount.
If you are looking at incorporating SuDs, Clear Drains will visit your site free of charge to discuss. We have all the specialist knowledge required to investigate and provide the best solution for you and your building.
Clear Drains offers a complete maintenance service including refurbishment and new installation for pump stations and pump systems.
Pumping stations/systems are facilities which pump fluid from one place to another. Most of the drainage in the UK works on a gravity principle so quite literally everything flows downhill. Where this is not possible (e.g. where the drains are in low level areas below the main drain line) it has to be pumped. In some cases pumping stations/systems are used as a boosting point when the drain run is over a long distance.
There is a vast array of pumped stations/systems from the most basic to the extremely complex with computer controlled switching and backup systems.
Clear Drains undertakes a range of pump services for our clients. A typical service will include the following elements:
This is all undertaken under current Health & Safety requirements including Risk and Method statements and environmental legislation.
We can also arrange for one of our tankers to be on site to empty sewage chambers and drains and to enable full access to the pumps for service and repair.
Pre-Planned maintenance is the way forward for pumps
Pumps can be very expensive to replace and depending on their use, need to be serviced at regular intervals throughout the year to keep them running. Repairing or replacing pumps can take some considerable time as few manufacturers can afford the luxury of stocking all components that might fail. Regular maintenance should reduce running costs and minimize costly and disruptive failures. We can offer a total solution to suit your needs.
